Why Am I Still Here?

by Prima Jope

Still in the same relationship I do not enjoy.

Still having the same kind of argument. Still hitting the same ceiling in business. Still over-carrying. Still overthinking. Still undercharging. Still shrinking. Still watching other people move while I seem to be standing in the same place.

You have done all the things. You have bought the books. Joined the programmes. Hired the mentor. Changed the strategy. Tweaked the offer. Lowered the price. Posted the content. Prayed the prayers. Tried to stay positive. Tried to stay disciplined. Tried to stay grateful.

And at some point, a woman starts asking a different question. Why am I still here?

Sometimes life is asking for a deeper lens. What is this season trying to show you about the way you cope, choose, tolerate, perform, carry, avoid, or abandon yourself?

Sometimes you are still here because there is something life is trying to show you and you just haven't seen it yet. A gift wrapped in sandpaper. Perhaps a place where more of your potential is waiting to be accessed, but the old lens cannot get you there.

I have asked this question myself more than once. And I have heard versions of it from women for years. They see the issue. Try to unpack it. May even go deeper to find the cause. At some point, you get wrapped up in the problem. You are too close to see it.

This is what I call The Turning Point.
